Emergency Services
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING EMERGENCY SERVICES!
PLEASE READ BELOW
USA Datanet was recently advised by our Emergency Services Provider, Intrado, that the Public Safety Answering Point ("PSAP") administrators in certain areas will not support 911 Emergency Service calls generated by our service. USA Datanet and other affected VoIP service providers are seeking to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
The look up tool below displays the areas where we MAY have Emergency
Services coverage.
Please select your state to find out if we may be able to provide Emergency Services in your area.
If you do not live in one of the areas listed above, we sincerely regret that we are unable to provide you Emergency Services due to causes beyond our control.
If you choose to register for USA Datanet's All Talk Calling Plan and you plan to use the service in an area listed above, you must:
- Make alternative arrangements to call Emergency Services by dialing 9-1-1, because no call placed to 9-1-1 using your All Talk Calling Plan will be completed.
- Advise all potential users of your All Talk Calling Plan, that no calls placed to 9-1-1 using your All Talk Calling Plan will be completed.
- Familiarize all potential users of your All Talk Calling Plan with the alternate arrangements you have made to call Emergency Services by dialing 9-1-1.
USA Datanet, its directors, its officers, its employees, and its contractors shall not incur any liability, direct or indirect, to any person for or related to attempts to dial the digits "9-1-1" using the All Talk Calling Plan to call 911 Emergency Services, or to any other person who may be adversely affected by attempts to dial the digits "9-1-1" using the All Talk Calling Plan to call 911 Emergency Services.

USA Datanet's All Talk Emergency Services is not the same as traditional 911 services. Traditional 911 services use your wirebound phone lines, combined with caller ID from your phone to locate where you are at the time of the emergency. All Talk Emergency Services is not guaranteed to transmit caller ID, and the service is NOT attached to wirebound phone lines - therefore your location cannot be automatically determined. The Emergency Services Address you provide us will let us know which Public Service Assistance Point (911 center) services your location; however, you will have to be able to verbally tell the operator your location once your 911 call is answered.
Below are a few important things to know once you choose to activate All Talk Emergency Services:
» Emergency Services WILL NOT work during a power outage or an internet outage caused by your broadband service provider
» Emergency Services will not be set up automatically on your service. If you would like to enroll in the service, you will have to visit www.mydatanet.com to provide us the exact address where the service will physically reside.
» If you travel or move with the device, you will need to update the emergency services address in the My Datanet portal.
» When you dial 911 you MUST be able to tell the operator your physical location (As with cell phones, the potential for mobility means that you must communicate your location to the Emergency Operator)
» Emergency Services may be available in counties/boroughs that are listed above, however, USA Datanet cannot confirm or guarantee availability of service until after you have submitted your address during the Emergency Services registration process.
After we determine whether Emergency Services are available at the address you submitted, we will e-mail you a confirmation that Emergency Services are available at the address you submitted or a notice that Emergency Services are not available at the address you submitted. Until you receive written confirmation from us that Emergency Services are available at the address you submitted, it is very important to do the following:
- Make alternative arrangements to call Emergency Services by dialing 9-1-1, because no call placed to 9-1-1 using your All Talk Calling Plan will be completed.
- Advise all potential users of your All Talk plan, that, effective immediately, no calls placed to 9-1-1 using your All Talk Calling Plan will be completed.
- Familiarize all potential users of your All Talk Calling Plan with the alternate arrangements you have made to call Emergency Services by dialing 9-1-1.
